For many, as they get older, the holidays lose their magic and become less fun. A once-joyful time can be stressful with expectations, responsibilities, and a surge of urgent holiday advertising.
When developing our annual Happy Honda Days campaign, we wanted to help customers celebrate with an end-of-the-year deal that breaks through the noise of festive ads by bringing back the fun in a distinctly Honda way.
We did this by tapping into the sentiment we had as kids that whatever we wish for during the holidays can come true, by magic or by miracle—or in our case, by AI.
So, for those dreaming of getting a new Honda, we dreamed up fantastic festive worlds perfectly suited for whatever type of Honda you’re wishing for.
Wishing for adventure? We created a holiday rugged world where the Ridgeline, Passport, and Pilot drove through hilly roads lined with boulders made of gumdrops and giant candy canes, surrounded by mountains covered in sweets.
Dreaming of an EV or hybrid? We created an electrified world where the all-electric Prologue and our hybrid models traveled through hillsides covered in dreamy, twinkling holiday lights.
Longing for performance? We created a soaring slot-car track—a childhood holiday gift favorite—for the Civic, Accord, and HR-V to race through, twisting into the clouds.
And because AI automated many of the production processes that historically would’ve been too cost-prohibitive, we were able to accomplish a lot more for a lot less.
Happy Honda Days is more than a sales event, and we were able to create a holiday campaign that brought back the fun of the season for holiday shoppers.
