Not Saying We’re the Best, But…

Homes.com is the best.

In last year’s Super Bowl LVIII, Homes.com made a bold entrance into the national spotlight, positioning themselves as having the most in-depth home-shopping info and content, summed up with the memorable phrase, “We’ve done your home work.” After a successful launch, Homes.com went from unknown to one of the most popular home-shopping .

In 2025, Homes.com returned to the big game with two 30-second spots intended to build on that growing brand momentum and cement Homes.com as the superior home-shopping site. The campaign was directed by celebrated filmmaker Taika Waititi and centers on the fictitious head of Homes.com, played by Dan Levy, and his right-hand exec, played by Heidi Gardner. The duo wants to let people know that Homes.com is the best. However, the company’s corporate lawyer insists that, even though it’s true, they cannot legally say that. So, what do they do? They try to find a loophole by coming up with a whole slew of different, creative ways to say “Homes.com is the best,” repeating the very thing the lawyer said they can’t, over and over again, and making sure audiences got the message.

The campaign kicked off by building anticipation through a teaser campaign in marquee environments —such as the Grammys and Pro Bowl —and also strategic placements in contextually relevant NFL, sports and New Orleans-related media. Teaser ads showed up everywhere Super Bowl fans would be, including popular podcasts like Nightcap and Dudes on Dudes, as well as threads on Reddit. They all served to make the brand top of mind for our audience and stir intrigue and curiosity as to what Dan and Heidi weren’t allowed to say.

When it came to the big game, the first spot, “Not Saying We’re the Best,” premiered in the first quarter, and culminated with a surprise cameo by the legendary Morgan Freeman, using his iconic voice to declare that “Homes.com is the best.” The second spot, “Still Not Saying We’re the Best,” premiered in the third quarter, continuing the joke, escalating the story and showing just how far our characters are willing to go to tell the world that Homes.com is the best.

The game may be over, but the conversation is just beginning—and with the most in-depth information, comprehensive agent directory, and more, Homes.com continues to be the best home-shopping sites in the business.
